I found you via The Kitchn feature and am so glad I did. I'm also a Columbus girl living on the Near East side in an old house with tons of character (and tons of work!) We love living, gardening, and eating locally! I will definitely be following your blog from here on out.

We have a huge patch of spearmint and chocolate mint in our back yard, but we have so much of it right now I can't find a use for it all. I've been making spearmint tea every other day and using it in mint mojitos and I've also tried my hand at mint ice cream but other than that I'm kind of stumped. Any good recipes for all that mint?

Love the ideas because I always have out of town grandchildren coming to stay for extended periods of time! One of my favorite places is the West Woods (part of the metro parks). They have a glass wall and rockers to sit in to watch all the birds that come to their feeders to eat! Just stopping by from the OBA Swap to say hello.

Sure, grown ups can have fun at spray grounds too! Usually having a kid with you (cousin, neice/nephew, neighbor) makes adult play look a little less awkward, but go for it!

Good tip about leaving room for spontaneity.

You would be an awesome Geocacher because you travel around to festivals so often! We've done a little with our daughter - she calls them treasure hunts - and it is a fun way to explore new places.
