If you cook fish in it, as soon as your done it can go right outside, unlike the specialty electric plug in variety, of which I bought, 'cause it seemed like a good idea at the time. We made crab cakes, with black bean salsa on top, tonight with our brand new, found-at-the-garage-sale-store cast iron pan. It has a real nice texture on the outside.
