I love soup! I could eat soup everyday in the cold weather months, so I can relate to soupy weeks. The pumpkin soup sounds delish. Thanks for joining in Mindful Menus - love having you!

Alex is in Phoenix. He went walking in shorts today whereas I am freezing under a blanket right now...

The recipe for kale chips is in this post: http://houndsinthekitchen.com/2009/12/03/green-monster-smoothie-and-baked-kale/ They are so easy and delicious!

We go through phases of eating out more too. My experience is that poor food is so unsatisfying that it makes me want to eat more of it and that's where the cycle starts.

Don't believe everything you hear about people not wanting to know what you ate for lunch. I think it's interesting what different people eat!

I don't know what part of Arizona Alex is going to, but I can tell you firsthand, it's a nice week to be in Phoenix! :)

Do you make kale chips or is that something you buy? I happen to have kale in my fridge right now, so I'm curious! :)

Anyway, happy menu planning!

I would happily read your meal planning, as my husband and I would really like to get better about it ourselves! Also, I love today's post, I also feel sad for my lack of veggies...

I would read it, think, "Man, she's way fancier than I am in the kitchen." I am in awe of your cooking. And it makes me wish I liked doing it more.

It satisfies my curiosity to see what other people are eating. The food in my household growing up was very bland. Although we had a vegetable garden I don't recall many meals utilizing what we grew. But it's possible I just was not into trying vegetables as much. :)

Husband and I go through phases where we have home cooked meals with regularity and then we're eating out all the time. This weekend we were in eating out phase.
