<description>Usually we spend Christmas Eve at my parents and Christmas Day at the in-laws. My parents are out of town this year so we&#039;re shaking things up a bit. Christmas Day at the in-laws and tomorrow they are coming over here for dinner. I&#039;m going to have our goose, a chicken casserole thing for the grandparents, some kind of vegetable and cookies with ice cream for dessert.

<description>We don&#039;t do a big meal Christmas Eve. My family always ate oyster stew on Christmas Eve so my significant other and I try to make that each Christmas Eve, even though I hated it as a kid. His family ate oyster stew on New Years Eve, so I really appreciate him making it for me on Christmas Eve.

Even the bad food memories from your childhood can be fond memories someday.

Tonight we need to do some serious planning for Christmas Day and food to take with us to events over the weekend. We are kind of last minute when it comes to food.

Goose sounds interesting, I like the old English idea.

Merry Christmas.
