Volunteers

We started veggies from seed, we planted seedlings and saplings, and now we are tending volunteers? What's Growing: May 22 2009

Yesterday was a lazy day with an overcast sky so I finally took time to photograph what’s growing in our garden. Make It Yourself: Stockade Fence

Earlier in the season I was looking for fencing to go around the new dwarf cherry trees.  The dogs were running through the tree patch and I didn’t want them to damage the poor young things. Flip Video Camera is here!

As Finalists in the Intuit Small Business Grant Competition , we were given a Flip digital camera.  (I won’t repeat all the competition news here, but you can follow on our contest page if you wish.) Join Me on a Family Friendly Bike Ride

I am hosting a bike ride next Monday May 11 for bike to work week. Bring the kids & meet near the wading pond at Whetstone Park to ride a short 2.5 miles along the Olentangy Bike Path to Tuttle Park. Play for approximately one hour, then head back. Campfire Columbus will provide some snacks at Tuttle. This will be a very family-friendly ride, short and leisurely.  I hope to see you there!

What's Growing: May 4, 2009

We had a lot of rain last week and with that came inches of green sprout growth! Peas are almost 6 inches, beans and squash are leafing, kale has sprouted, spinach is on second set of leaves, and lettuce is almost big enough to eat!
